Social Networking
Jun 14th, 2011 | By Renee | Category: Tech & WebEverywhere you turn, whether it’s tv, radio, or the movies, you hear references to social media. Social Media connects us in ways that weren’t imaginable 10 years ago. My 85 year old aunt can use Facebook. Families are tweeting each other instead of sending individual text messages. Sharing what we do, where we are, and every part of our lives has become an obsession almost! As a personal tool, it can be information overload. As a business tool, it can be invaluable.
Using facebook, twitter, blogs, and other social media to connect with your clients and potential clients is proving to be the most successful means of advertising ever. Real time updates on products, interactivity with users and producers, and free feedback from consumers has exploded the social networking market, creating new jobs, and making it easier for businesses to create a relationship with their customers.
It is imperative that established, as well as new, businesses have a robust and active presence on the web. A subscription list and newsletters are great, but real time feeds of information, with someone on duty to answer and address issues in real time is ideal.
Social media has created a new team of professionals that can put your business on the internet map (literally) by branding and marketing your business and creating the buzz that means more money in your pocket.
